Dr. Richard Layfield is a native of Silver Spring, Maryland and specializes in Sports Medicine at the NoVa Orthopedic & Spine Care division in Woodbridge, Virginia. He gained experience working closely with sports teams like the Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Timberwolves and the Minnesota Wild while completing his fellowship training in Sports Medicine at the Orthopaedic Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Layfield continues his commitment to athletic care in Prince William County by serving as head team physician for the Prince William Courage Soccer Club. He is also an orthopaedic and sports medicine consultant for many of the local high schools in Prince William County, including Potomac, C.D. Hylton, Garfield, Forest Park, Freedom, Woodbridge and Osbourn Park.
